Jonathan works with patents and trademarks and advises clients on how to utilize business structures to limit their liability.
Jonathan counsels clients seeking protection for medical devices and treatments, chemical compositions and therapeutic products. Recently, he has worked with clients on fitness equipment and new approaches to eastern medical practices. Jonathan assists clients with business entity formation as well as drafting and negotiating contracts such as Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Nondisclosure Agreements on their behalf.
Before joining Boudwin Intellectual Property Law, Jonathan practiced in real estate and oil and gas law, contract review and negotiation, and due diligence as well as electronic discovery for high-profile litigation. Jonathan attended the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, where his studies focused on intellectual property and medical topics. Prior to law school, Jonathan attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor's degree in neuroscience. He has conducted research in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) research laboratories associated with Harvard University, Carnegie-Mellon University, and the University of Pittsburgh.
A naturalized Canadian, Jonathan resides in Media with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys going to amusement parks with his family, traveling and watching hockey.
